Those that live and enjoy Whistler in the Fall will surely tell you the best part of this shoulder season is the dining specials. We’re not talking 2 4 1 pizzas or all your can eat buffets, we’re talking five star three to five course meals for under $100 at some of the best restaurants in Whistler. Peak season these restaurants would set you back several hundred (if you managed to get a table), but come Fall as the tourists temporarily retreat, the dining out for Whistler’s locals becomes world-class. Here are the top dining specials we’ve found in Whistler this fall.
Rimrock Café near Whistler Creekside is one of the most elegant and notable restaurants in Whistler. The outstanding service, elegantly rustic atmosphere and mouth-watering menu make Rimrock Café a local’s favourite. Their three course dinner menu is always a hit each Fall and includes an extensive choice of two starters and a main for only $49.00. For your first course choose between eights options or four types of oysters, followed by another nine choices for your second course and twelve choices for your main. The specials are changed regularly so there is always something new to savour. Make sure to book soon, the Rimrock Café’s Fall dining special is Sunday to Thursday throughout October.
If you love wine and deliciously paired food (and who doesn’t?) Basalt is offering a three course dinner for $25 with one of the best wine selections in Whistler. The Autumn Menu features an appetizer, main and desert for only $25- you can’t even cook at home for this price. The restaurant was voted best new business in Whistler by the Pique in 2015 and has a strong emphasis on curated food and drink, attention to fine details and a high level of customer service. Make sure to book your dinner at Basalt this Fall to experience one of Whister’s favourite spots.
